Chiefs’ players report to Bafana for Malawi game

Kaizer Chiefs players reported to the national team camp ahead of the international friendly against Bafana Bafana to be played at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 22 December in preparation for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.



The seven players called up by Coach, Gordon Igesund include; Club captain and no. 1 goalkeeper, Itumeleng ‘Spider’ Khune, Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala, Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane, Pa ‘Nesta’ Gaxa, Tsepo Masilela, Lehlohonolo ‘Major’ Majoro and Bernard ‘Hond’ Parker.



Majoro said he was delighted to be back with the national team; “I am happy to be back in the national team. It is every player’s dream to represent his country.



“I just concentrated on doing the job for the Club. I knew that if I do well at Chiefs then there will be a chance for me to return to the national team. We are all looking forward to the Malawi game in Durban,” added Majoro.



Meanwhile Eric ‘Tower’ Mathoho who won the ‘Man of the Match’ awards early this month in the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates and on Tuesday against AmaZulu will join the national team camp on December 27.
