Kaizer Chiefs duo, Morgan 'MG' Gould and Siphiwe 'Shabba' Tshabalala were united in expressing the Amakhosi intentions to do well in the MTN 8 Cup.
The two were speaking to media at the PSL HQ on Thursday, 8 August 2013 ahead of Kaizer Chiefs encounter against Pretoria University in the MTN8 quarterfinal game scheduled for Saturday, 10 August 2013 at FNB Stadium.
"Shabba" was cautiously optimistic when media asked about their chances against TUKS;
"We are aware that they will be confident coming to us after doing well against us in the past. They are a good team as we have seen them qualifying for MTN8 in their first season in the top league. We are looking forward to a tough game on Saturday but we know what is expected of us on the pitch."
'MG' was consistent with his compatriot; "What TUKS did to us last season belongs to last season. This is a new season and what belongs to last season stays there. We have to do what we got to do now. The spirit is high in the Camp and we are all looking forward to the game. Everyone in the team wants to play and whether one is in the starting line up on the day, we are all united in one goal and that is to do well at all times. If the Coach gives me the nod, I will go all out to do the job for the Club and I think that's the kind of spirit that is shared in the squad."
The duo made a call to the supporters to come in their numbers to support the Team on Saturday.
Kickoff for the game is at 20:15 and gates open at 17:00. The tickets are sold for R40 at all Computicket nationwide.
