Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the signing of Mamelodi Sundowns striker Katlego Mphela on a pre-contract effective from July 2014. Mphela’s contract with Sundowns expires on June 2014.

On Monday, 6 January 2014, Chiefs informed Sundowns of their intention to sign the tried and tested striker. Subsequently, on the 7th January 2014, Sundowns was informed about the agreement with the player.

The 29 year old striker has been the talk of the football circles with pundits speculating his move to an overseas Club. Mphela has signed a three year deal with the Amakhosi.
