Kaizer Chiefs Reserves were made to rue missed chances as they allowed their counterparts, SuperSport United to come from 1-0 down to force a draw in what was an end to end Gauteng Monday League fixture played at Eldorado Park Stadium on Monday afternoon.



The Phefeni based side had an electrifying start to the game as they scored as early as eighth minute when Tshowana 'Dida' Mokonyana finished from close range.



The hosts dominated the play in the first half with Siyabonga Nkosi displaying touches of brilliance in the middle of the park with Jimmy Tau leading from the right back for a full 90 minutes of the game.



Amakhosi should have wrapped the game up in the first half but failed to put away the chances they created.



Supersport United tried to penetrate a solid Chiefs defence marshalled by both Shawn Malinga and Lorenzo 'Freedom' Gordinho and when they did penetrate they found Reyaad Pieterse in an uncompromising mood.



Pieterse was at his best in the 40th minute as he pulled a superb save to deny Franklin Cale.



Halftime score 1-0 to Chiefs.



In the 60th minute Coach, Ace Khuse replaced Siyabonga Nkosi with Andile Nqabeni.



Five minutes later the ever improving Nicholas Myhardt had a perfect chance to grab a second one for the hosts but he volleyed his shot over the bar when it looked easier to score than miss.



The hosts were made to rue missed chances as substitute, George Maluleka pass found another substitute, Tsietsi Nkoane who made no mistake inside the box levelling matters in the 71st minute.



SuperSport should have scored in the 80th minute but Reyaad Pieterse pulled a brilliant save to deny striker, Prince Nxumalo.



The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 90th minute when left back, Borman Danleigh was shown a red card.



Josta Dladla who missed the First Team's Nedbank Last 16 game against Polokwane City due to injury showed no signs of discomfort as he played a full 90 minutes and his comeback will be welcomed by Head Coach, Stuart Baxter ahead of the ABSA Premiership fixture against Bloemfontein Celtic.



The game ended 1 all.
