Kaizer Chiefs will take on Wits University on Sunday, August 10, in the first round second match of the new SAA Super 8 competition, it was announced on Wednesday in a draw conducted at Caesars Palace.

The first match of the tournament will be between Jomo Cosmos and Orlando Pirates on Saturday, August 9.

Durban side Golden Arrows will host Moroka Swallows the following weekend on Saturday, August 16, and the final first round encounter, scheduled for Sunday, August 17, will be between SuperSport United, who finished second in last season’s league campaign, and Dynamos, the Limpopo-based outfit that finished seventh.

The venues for the matches will be announced early next week.

Meanwhile, the semifinals of the competition will be held on the weekend of August 30/31.
