Kaizer Chiefs has welcomed the Gauteng Reserve League that will return this coming Monday with the Club taking on Bidvest Wits Reserve team at Eldorado Park Stadium.

The Reserve League piloted back in 2006 will be a breath of fresh air for the reserve players who have been starved of competitive football.

“The League is a step towards the right direction and will go a long way in giving young players from the Under 19 Development team an opportunity to play competitive games. It was through the Reserve league that players like Itumeleng Khune and Tlou Molekwane were introduced to the first team. The Technical Team will also have an opportunity to field some of the players who are making their way back from injury,” said Football Manager, Bobby Motaung.

Development Coach, Doctor Khumalo working in conjunction with first team Assistant Coach, Donald Khuse will be in charge of the team.

The game will kick off at 15:30.
