Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter, players Pa Gaxa and Itumeleng Khune presented a united front when they were faced with a full house of a media contingent at the PSL HQ in Parktown on Thursday, 2 May 2013.

The agenda on the day was the upcoming Nedbank Cup Semi-finals encounter against the NFD side United FC. The game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 4 May 2013 at FNB Stadium.

Baxter described the loss against Ajax Cape Town in a league encounter on Wednesday as "water under the bridge and the focus will now turn to Saturday’s game. We have been on top of the league for most of the season and we have to continue doing the things that we have been doing right. The Ajax game was a different circumstance and that won't be the same on Saturday."

On the question of the status of the team after the Ajax loss and the challenges that lie ahead, the Club Captain Khune commented; "The Team has learnt a few lessons after the Ajax game. We have to go all out in the next Nedbank Cup game and remaining two league games and continue with what we have been doing the whole season. We have to dig deep and reward the Amakhosi faithful for their consistent and undying love for the badge. We will definitely go back to the basics on Saturday."

Media described United FC as worthy competitors and tricky, and Pa responded by saying; "I have made this point before, seated here before the game against Polokwane City, that we are only concerned about Chiefs’ plans. We play for Chiefs and our focus is on doing the job the Chiefs' way. United FC is not in the semis by default they are a professional outfit and we will treat them as such."

The much anticipated game dubbed 'David vs Goliath' by some media is billed for 20:15 kickoff.
