Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom stopover in Alexandra, Pan Africa Mall, became what the 'Doctor Ordered', with multitudes gathering to be part of the event on Friday, 13 September 2013.

Alexandra Branch Chairperson, Thabo Lebuso, was overjoyed with the turn of events; "It's good because it shows that the office appreciates our support for the team and the Kaizer Chiefs family. I feel great to see the KC Retail Store and the Supporters Club in our Township. The same sentiment is shared among the Branch members to show that we are recognised.

The game tomorrow is a step up game to lift the morale of the players and the supporters after the loss at SuperSport United and make no mistake we will always be behind our Team. We would like to plead with our fellow supporters not to boo the players and must arrive at the stadium to encourage and support them.

This season we wish to defend our Cup and league double and add more trophies but we can only achieve that when we are united as players and the supporters."

KC Retail Store and Supporters Club Manager expressed joy at the turn out; " It has been an exciting day , especially when we get an opportunity to interact with the supporters. We are busy as you can see with people renewing and applying for the Supporters Club Membership and purchasing authentic Chiefs merchandise."

Vodacom management, Rowen Gangulu and Richard van der Schyff were also in the area and they too were full of compliments at the turnout and passion shown by the people of Alexandra.

Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung commended the people of Alexandra for the love they continue to show their beloved Team; " This is great and the feedback is so positive. We are sharing in the value of both entities (Vodacom and Chiefs) and the synergy is palpable in the air. This is a reciprocating and mutually beneficial relationship. We would like to thank Vodacom and the Amakhosi who are gathered here today."

The excited crowd was entertained from stage by DJ music and MC Vuyo with his usual dance moves. There were lots of giveaways for the participating individuals while some supporters played 'My 5' soccer games and Play Stations.

The biggest prize for most was winning the match tickets for the Absa Premiership match between Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United taking place on Saturday, 14 September 2013 at FNB Stadium. Kickoff is at 20:15. (Tickets are sold at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers nationwide at R40)
