Kaizer Chiefs Family is saddened by the news of untimely passing away of one of Mzansi’s prominent football supporters, Mzion Mofokeng who reportedly died following “low blood and diabetes related complications” at Baragwaneth Hospital on Tuesday morning.

The Board of Directors, Management, The Players, The Technical Staff and Kaizer Chiefs Family in its totality would like to send heartfelt condolences to the Mofokeng Family, friends, Orlando Pirates Football Club, South African Football Supporters Association (SAFSA) where the late was serving as a Vice President and to the football fraternity.

Kaizer Chiefs has fond memories of the late that was also a founder member of the Supporters body. He was always a colourful character especially during Soweto derbies and his presence will be sorely missed in football circles.

Details for the funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
