Kaizer Chiefs Family would like to congratulate Zambia on the emphatic win against Ivory Coast in Libreville, Gabon.

The brave Zambians led by former Premier League top goalscorer, Christopher Katongo who were praised all over the world for their ‘team spirit’, ‘determination’ among other things beat the much fancied Elephants on penalties after both teams failed to find the back of the net in 120 minutes.

Zambia were determined to win the tournament in honour of the players who perished in the 1993 plane crush on their way to the Fifa World Cup qualifier in Senegal.

‘Chipolopolo’ as Zambian national team is affectionately known become the first South African country to win the Africa Cup of Nations since Bafana Bafana won it on the home soil back in 1996.
