Tickets for the Vodacom Challenge matches involving defending champions Kaizer Chiefs against TP Mazembe (12h30 kickoff) and the mighty Orlando Pirates facing up to ASV Club (15h30 kickoff), are on sale at Computicket outlets at R30 each, as well as on match-day until 12h00, on the south-eastern side of the Mmabatho stadium near the bridge over the railway line, and in the parking area behind the convention centre.
The Mmabatho stadium gates open at 07h30 and the first 15 000 fans to enter the stadium, will each receive Vodacom Challenge skullcaps to further boost the Vodacom Challenge vibe in the stands prior to the kickoff.
DJ Monde and DJ Da Vinci will get the Vodacom Challenge football party underway when they entertain the crowds inside the stadium between 10h30 and 11h30 while the Battle of the DJs is expected to receive thunderous applause when top DJs spin the disks after the first semi-final at 14h20.
DJ Cleo will be up against DJ Monde, while DJ Ganyani will show off his disk spinning talent against DJ Da Vinci.
The ever-popular Skwatta Camp will perform the popular ‘Uyeza Umoya’ song during the half-time break of the first semi-final, while Pitch Black Afro will be out to show just why they are the talk of the local music industry, during the half-time interval in the Pirates vs A.S.V Club.
With a winner’s cheque of R1000 000 set to be a source of extra motivation to the four sides in their bid for 2004 Vodacom Challenge glory, the runners-up will take home R500 000, and the third and fourth placed teams collecting R300 000 and R200 000 respectively, making the Vodacom Challenge into an extremely lucrative competition on the African football scene.
A lucky fan from Chiefs, and a supporter of Pirates, will have the opportunity of driving away from the 2004 Vodacom Challenge in style, with two Nissan B140 bakkies up for grabs.
By sending the words ‘Uyeza Umoya’ via SMS to the competition number 32811, and answering an easy question, fans of the Beautiful Game will be able to stand a chance of being a winner of one of these fabulous vehicles.
