“The mood is great here,” insists Wanda Jack at the Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom activation in Port Elizabeth’s KwaZakhele township ahead of today’s league clash against Chippa United. “We feel great to lift the trophy in the Eastern Cape.”

Jack is the newly elected Marketing Manager in Kaizer Chiefs’ Eastern Cape Provincial Supporters Branch Structure. “This is the first time we will witness Chiefs lifting the trophy on our soil.”

Amakhosi supporter Loyiso Mjingana from Umtata reiterates the mood at the Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom activation, “I feel good. The last time I watched Chiefs live was in Tshwane against Mamelodi Sundowns back in 2009.”

The Roadshow at the Boxer Shopping Centre in KwaZakhele on Thursday was a build-up to Amakhosi’s last league encounter of the season against Chippa United at Port Elizabeth’s Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday (kick-off at 15:00).

After the match, Chiefs will be handed over the Absa Premiership trophy.

“I feel great being there to witness my team lift the trophy,” adds another supporter, Thabo Molefe, from Veeplaas. “The Roadshows are welcome events for us. I won double tickets, because I participated in a competition. I’m over the moon. I've been waiting for this day.”
