Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral added yet another title to his growing list of achievements as he was named the 2001 BP Top Eight coach of the series at an award ceremony in Johannesburg on Thursday night.

Ertugral walked away with the prize following a successful campaign where Amakhosi accounted for Ria Stars (2-0), archrivals Orlando Pirates (1-0) and finally pulling off an incredible penalty-shoot-out victory against Sundowns.

The Amakhosi coach has achieved great success with the team this season, leading the Glamour Boys to four title wins since the start of the season.

Ertugral has always attributed the success to management’s professional approach to the game and commitment from his players.

The coach has also highlighted that it would have not been easy without the commitment and support from his technical staff, comprising of Donald Khuse, Farouk Khan, Doctor Phil Maepa, David Milner and Doctor Khumalo, who was recently roped into the technical team.
