Kaizer Chiefs will play host to a special guest this week, as the South African editor from the official website of footballs world governing body FIFA will spend a week at the Kaizer Chiefs village in Johannesburg. Luana Jordaan who holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Rhodes University was recently employed by www.fifa.com as a correspondent in South Africa to do stories around the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. In an endeavour for her to be able to have a better understanding of South African Football, she has undertaken a project, which will see her spending some time working with various clubs from within the PSL.

The Amakhosi are first up on her agenda and she will lend her expertise and work closely with some of the departments within Kaizer Chiefs, particularly those dealing with the media. Jordaan will work closely with Communications manager Thebe Mohatle as well as with web master Yusuf Muhammad and will during the week contribute as a special guest writer in her personal capacity with a number of stories on the official Kaizer Chiefs website.

Jordaan who began her one week sojourn with Chiefs on Monday is excited about working with the best supported team in the country “it is a privilege for me to work with a well organized and well structured club like Chiefs and I look forward towards learning more not just about Chiefs but club football in South Africa” added Jordaan. Kaizer Chiefs brand manager Dara Carroll who facilitated the process which allowed for Jordaan to spend time with Chiefs said of her visit “we are only too glad to be part of any process that will help build the positive image of South African football, and we are happy to play host to Luana so that we can learn from her and on the other hand play a hand in educating her on club football in South Africa”.

The young FIFA.COM journalist will spend the rest of this week with Chiefs and her activities will culminate at the end of the week, when she will move on and spend some time working within the structures of another team in the PSL.
