Kaizer Chiefs quartet comprising of Captain and Goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune; defender Tefu Mashamaite, striker Bernard Parker and midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala are part of the 23-men Bafana Bafana squad to play in the African Nations Champions (Chan). Fullback, Tsepo Masilela and midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholanyane were also called up in the initial 23-men squad but were later withdrawn due to injuries.



The Glamour Boys joined their compatriots on Sunday, 5th January 2014, in Cape Town, after the protracted negotiations for their release between Kaizer Chiefs and SAFA. Bafana Bafana will be based in Cape Town for the duration of the group stage.



Bafana Bafana assembled for camp on Thursday, 02 January 2014 in Cape Town to continue preparations for the tournament. South Africa will open the tournament with a clash against Mozambique on Saturday, 11 January at the Cape Town Stadium. Kickoff is at 17h00. There will be 32 matches played in 16 match days.



Two quarterfinals will be held in Cape Town while Mangaung and Polokwane will share the other two.



Both semifinal matches will take place in Mangaung with Cape Town hosting third-place play-offs as well as the final.
