The staff and players threw the captain a surprise party at the Chiefs Village in Naturena.

The excited Amakhosi chairman thanked everyone who made his day so special and said: "I consider myself very lucky to be alive and still a part of Kaizer Chiefs.

"Birthdays are a family affair in my family and today I am celebrating this special day with the Kaizer Chiefs family.

"Players have come and gone but everyone of them has made this team what it is."

The players had lunch with the chairman before jetting off to Cape Town for the league match against Ajax on Wednesday night. And the players know very well that the best present they can ever give to the chairman is the three league points against Ajax.
