"It's a slim lead. You have to back yourself to get a result in this tie," cautions Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter ahead of the second leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League against Township Rollers.

Amakhosi take a 2-1 lead to Gaborone’s National Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off at 15:00).

"If this was a straight final and the winner would take all, you have to back yourself to win," continues a visibly optimistic Baxter. “That’s how we approach this encounter.”

Chiefs have just completed their final preparations for this much anticipated clash.

Casting eyes on the training ground, one notices the absence of Reneilwe Letsholonyane, George Maluleka and Siphelele Mthembu.

"Letsholonyane is returning from a family bereavement,” explains Baxter the absence of the players, “while Maluleka and Mthembu are suffering from an assortment of injuries." Meanwhile, Itumeleng Khune is on the mend from a back injury.

"The guys that we selected will be equal to the task," says Baxter while referring to the Glamour Boys, who arrived in Botswana on Friday.

The Chiefs coach shares a couple of pointers of his plans: "Emphasizes will be on transitions. We have to be resolute in defence. We have to take the game to them and try to hit them early. We have to be professional."
