Kaizer Chiefs marksman, Bernard ‘Hond’ Parker told kaizerchiefs.com that he was honoured to wear Bafana Bafana captain’s armband as the hosts went 2-1 down to neighbours, Zimbabwe at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Coach, Gordon Igesund made 10 changes to the side that beat Botswana last Saturday with regular captain, Itumeleng Khune watching the proceedings from the bench.

I thank the Coach for showing trust in me as one of the senior players. It was disappointing at the end of the day to lose the game at home,” added Parker.
Parker went to the game on Tuesday having scored a brace against Botswana on Saturday, 7 September and capped his performance on Tuesday with a fine strike. He is also currently among the leading scorers in the league with three goals after three games.
He played down his form in front of goal on Thursday morning; “I feel I am not yet sharp enough yet as compared to last season for instance. I am going to continue working hard on my sharpness.”
The Glamour Boys welcome Maritzburg United on Saturday at FNB Stadium; “We are looking forward to the game against Maritzburg United. They have given us tough times in the past and it will not be different come Saturday, but we have set our sight on making a comeback following a loss in our last game against SuperSport United,” added Parker.
