Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic has revealed that he had no doubt in his mind that star midfielder; Siphiwe Tshabalala would extend his stay with the Club.
The Phiri born midfielder, the vice Captain for Bafana Bafana ended speculation last week by committing himself to the Phefeni Glamour Boys for a further three seasons.
“I was in contact (Siphiwe) Tshabalala throughout and I had no doubt that he was going to sign a new contract with the Club.
His dream is to play in Europe. He is a good player and I would like to see him fulfilling his dream of playing abroad one day,” he revealed to kaizerchiefs.com on Tuesday.
“Tshabalala is one of the most important players in the team and his staying is going to go a long way in boosting the confidence in the squad."
The Serbian also defended the decision by the Club not to make ‘wholesale’ changes in the squad during January transfer window; “It was more important for us to retain the players in the squad than signing new players. On this note I would like to pay tribute to Football Manager, Bobby Motaung and Management for the great job they did during the transfer window.
Kaizer Chiefs made one signing in January, Brian Abbasi Amidu; “He (Brian Abbasi Amidu) has been training with us for two months. He is a good player and is currently working hard in training.
“I would like to appeal to the fans not to dub him as the ‘new Musona’. There can only be one Knowledge Musona,” added Vermezovic.
