Naturena - kaizerchiefs.com caught up with Kgotso Edgar Moleko on Wednesday, 05 March 2014. Moleko joined the Amakhosi from Bloemfontein Celtic last season and has since played a deputy to the experienced Pa Gaxa on the right back.

Where were you born?

I was born in the Free State in Rocklands and moved to the Bloemfontein as well as Odendaal as a teenager, at around 14yrs or so.

When did you start to play football?

I started playing football at the age of 11 in Welkom. My mother encouraged me to play but my father too had an influence as he has played at Bloemfontein Celtic.

How do you go about your social life?

I spend most of the time with my friends in Welkom and Odendaal when we are not playing. My family is also in Bloemfontein where I go to visit most of the time when we are off.

How do you spend your time in Johannesburg?

I am always at my place with the other players. We stay indoors and when we are not selected to play we stick together and encourage each other as teammates. When time allows and not involved with the Team I keep fit with gym work.

How do you stay motivated when you don’t get much game time?

I am still learning a lot from Pa and the Coaching staff. I am just glad to form part of the squad especially knowing that both the Coach and players have faith in me.

Anything you would like to say to the supporters?

The supporters must keep supporting the Team. We will continue to work hard as a Team to keep the supporters happy.

God willing I would like to end my career at Kaizer Chiefs.

Moleko also revealed his disappointment for receiving the marching orders during the stoppage time in the match between Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United, on 5th February 2014. “I felt stupid, I regret that moment but I was fighting for the Team,” said Moleko.
