The Umtata side that has since relocated to East London drew 1-1 with Chiefs and will now campaign in the First Division, leaving Easter Cape with no club in the Premiership.
The game was of less importance to Chiefs as they had already qualified for Super Eight.
First choice keeper Brian Baloyi suffered a knee injury in the international friendly against England in Durban last Thursday and had to make way for Aubrey Mathibe.
It was Mathibe’s first start for the Glamour Boys since his debut albeit as a second half sub in the 4-0 Premiership victory against Manning Rangers on May 3.
Meanwhile, young defender Buti Sithole also missed the game with a knee injury suffered at training during the week. Veteran John Moshoeu, who has been an inspiration for Amakhosi throughout the season, also missed out with injury. Defender Isaac Mabotsa made his first start since his return from rehabilitation in January.
After a 0-0 first half Bucks returned with more hunger and a sense of urgency to take the lead on 57 minutes through Anele Zibi, who fired home a half clearance from defender Patrick Mabedi.
But Chiefs pulled level in stoppage time through defender Rodney Thobejane, as he punished Bucks for slack defending when the failed to deal with Kelvin Mushangazhike’s free-kick.
