'Man of the Match' in Kaizer Chiefs' 2-1 triumph over Platinum Stars, Josta Dladla, has attributed his performance to dedication and hard work.
"When you get a chance to play after a long wait, it becomes a 'make or break' kind of a situation. I have not played for a long time before coming on as a substitute against Bloemfontein Celtic in the midweek game," said 'JD'.
Referring to his experience, 'JD' was forthcoming with his impression, "Experience means nothing without hard work. If you are lazy then experience will find its place on the shelf. You have to be hungry enough to stay in the game."
About playing in an unfamiliar position, 'JD', was very quick to point out, "It is not about the position. It is about how good you played and how that influenced the results.
There is no excuse as a professional, when you get a chance you must grab it with both hands. If the Coach brings you on after two to three months, you can't be scared, you have to prove your worth in the Team.
If you do badly that will validate the reasons why you never get a chance to play. If you look at the starting line-up against Platinum Stars last night, most of the players showed hunger because they wanted to showcase that they are part of the Team despite starting in a few games."
