Kaizer Chiefs Headquarters, the Village in Naturena will be a hype of activity as hundreds of fans will be coming through ahead of the Soweto derby on Saturday, 17 March 2012.
Supporters Relations Manager, Cecil Motaung speaking to kaizerchiefs.com revealed that more than 60 branches have confirmed to be coming through to the Chiefs Village.
“We have been in touch with the branches since the beginning of the month and the Village will be welcoming all the branches who will be coming here.
It is a norm for supporters travelling from provinces like KwaZulu Natal, Western Province, Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, etc to make a first stop at the Village before the derby. It is all systems go from our side and this will reflect on the stands on Saturday when few opposition fans scramble for seating at Soccer City Complex,” said Motaung.
Supporters Retail Manager, Emmanuel Khumalo added that the Kaizer Chiefs Retail Stare will be operating during the normal hours; “We are expecting quite number of fans coming through on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Store will be open at 09:00 and close at 16:30 and on Saturday we will open at 09:00 to 13:00.
“Supporters will receive discounts as per their membership status. We have the home and away jersey, gold and black polo shirts, bomber jackets and other Kaizer Chiefs accessories on sale.
“We will also be renewing membership and registering new members. We invite all our supporters to come through to the Kaizer Chiefs Store,” added Khumalo.
