The operation on Jimmy Jambo’s knee was a success Club’s Medical Team reported on Monday afternoon.
The flying left back underwent an operation last week following an injury he sustained in the Telkom Knockout against Bidvest Wits last month.
Dave Milner commented to kaizerchiefs.com; “Jambo (Jimmy) underwent surgery last Wednesday. The damage to his knee was repaired and he has started his road to recovery.
The Doctor was very happy with the outcome. He is expected to be out of action for a year,” added Milner.
Meanwhile Dave Milner also revealed that defenders, Siboniso Gaxa and Eric Mathoho, “have both returned to training. They will both undergo a late fitness test on Tuesday.
“Gaxa has been unavailable for four weeks since the injury he sustained against Wits back in September (Heritage Day) so there are other factors we need to consider regarding his fitness,” added Milner.
