Kaizer Chiefs Legends were victorious when they took on the Liverpool Legends in an exciting match played this afternoon at Moses Mabhida Stadium at 14h00.

The crowd got their monies worth when they witnessed a goals galore mixed with glamour, flair and class. The game brought back a lot of memories to the football lovers as they saw the reunion of the Fani Madida and Shane MacGregor partnership including the Doctor Khumalo and Thabo Mooki flair.

Passionate Liverpool supporters also got to see their favourite Legends in action and they came out in their numbers to get behind the England based team.

Even though the Kaizer Chiefs Legends were trailing by 2 goals in the first 20 minutes, they got a chance to level matters before the end of the game. Patrick Berger gave a superb performance for the Reds that earned him the Man of the Match award after scoring four goals. The Reds other goal came from the SABC competition winner, John Makholwana. Chiefs goals came from Stanton Fredericks who found the back of the net twice and the others came from Makua, Zwane and Khumalo.

Deadlocked at 5-5 at the end of 90 minutes, the game was decided by penalties that saw Frank Makua scoring the winner for Chiefs.
