Kaizer Chiefs Football Club led by the Executive Chairman Kaizer Motaung paid homage at the late Icon Nelson Mandela's home in Houghton on Monday, 9 December 2013.

The late Madiba's Grandson Mandla Mandela was at hand to welcome the Chiefs delegation which included the Management, Team, Technical Team and other Club officials.

A ceremony was held in the marque erected in the yard. Pastor Yvonne Motaung opened the ceremony with a prayer. In passing condolences to the Mandelas on behalf of Chiefs family in its entirety, the Chairman gave a moving speech as a tribute to the late Madiba.

The delegation laid flowers and presented the bereaved family with a portrait showing Madiba wearing a Chiefs T-shirt.
