Marketing Director, Jessica Motaung represented Kaizer Chiefs in the seminar (Professionalism of African Football and the Implementation of the Club Licensing System) that took place in Cape Town on Thursday the 30th of January and Friday the 31st of January 2014.
The seminar was supervised by CAF President, Issa Hayatou, with support from members of the CAF Executive Committee and Danny Jordaan, President of South Africa Football Association.
Clubs from across the continent were invited including Kaizer Chiefs to learn more about Club licensing, marketing and including TV broadcast rights.
“It’s exciting to be here for this historic event, a first of its kind. I was part of the Marketing panel and it was good to interact and share ideas with the rest of the Football Clubs in Africa,” said Jessica
“We begin our CAF journey by playing Black Africa from Namibia, even thou we have been there before it will give us a good indication to put what we have learnt here today to good practice. Our strategy is to go into the rest of Africa and market our products and get the best broadcast deals and sponsorships,” added Jessica
Kaizer Chiefs will be playing against Black Africa on the 08th of February 2014 at FNB Stadium at 20h00 and the return fixture will take place on the 15th of February in Windhoek.
