"It is a pleasure to don the gold and black of Chiefs," responds Itumeleng Khune following his side's 0-all draw . "It is always a great feeling for any player to be back on the field."
"Running through the tunnel and to smell the pitch grass is like opening your office door," comments Khune. "We spend most of our time on the pitch, it's like an office for us. The welcome from the stands was warm hence I felt comfortable during the match. We always want to reward the supporters."
Khune pulled some of his trademark saves more especially in the dying minutes of the match played in front of a near capacity crowd of the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
"We are happy we collected a point," continues Khune. "We have to work hard to match the Club success of the past. We played well as a team. We were unfortunate to draw the match. We will have to double our efforts going forward."
"It is all about the teamwork," concludes Khune. "Chiefs is not about individual performances."
Khune also expressed delight at keeping the first clean-sheet of the season. "I'm happy to be back in the team and to start with a clean sheet is encouraging."
