George Lebese has revealed that he is slowly getting back to his best after scoring an all important goal against United FC in the Nedbank semifinals.



Lebese who has been a regular in Stuart Baxter’s team this season struggled after returning from injury he sustained back in February.



In the game against FCUnited, Lebese did not only show glimpses of his old self with deft touches, but showed good instincts as he followed up on Lehlohonolo Majoro rebounded shot to score his third goal of the season.



“It is always difficult to regain your form when you come back from injury. I continued to work hard and now I feel much better both physically and mentally.



Affectionately known to kaizerchiefs.com as ‘WhatsUp’, the Mamelodi born expressed his delight for scoring on Saturday.



“I came close in the game against Swallows and then again against Ajax Cape Town so I was pleased to get goal that contributed to our victory against United FC.



“I have been working hard at training to improve all aspects of my game including scoring. I hope to score more before the end of the season.



Lebese added that he and his teammates are looking forward to the mouthwatering clash against SuperSport United on Wednesday 15th May at 19.30hrs in POLOKWANE



“They are one of the top sides in the Absa Premiership. They have not done well in the league this season but they can never be underestimated. We will need to be at our best against them,”
