Striker, Lehlohonolo ‘Wagga-Wagga’ Majoro returned to the starting line up since the draw away at Golden Arrows, on the 6th of April and rewarded the Technical Team confidence in him by scoring a goal and creating another as Chiefs moved on to the final of Nedbank Cup for the first time since the competition was launched back in 2007/2008 season.

Majoro was deservedly named the Man of the Match after the proceedings but was quick to move the attention away from him; “It is credit to the team that we have won the game. I am delighted to have scored one goal and creating the other but it is not all about me but the team.

“We are all excited to be through to the final. It was our ambition coming into this game to win. We have two games coming up though before we can start dreaming about the final. We have to quickly channel our focus towards our next game against SuperSport United.

“It all starts at training and the Coach will be there when we prepare for our games,” said the player affectionately known as Wagga-Wagga referring to the referee’s removal of Head Coach Baxter from the bench in the last five minutes of the game.

“The Head Coach shares the same philosophy as Assistant Coach, Doctor Khumalo so the coach’s absence on the bench will not have much negative impact on our application.

“There is a big role that the coaches play during the game but it is up to the players to be man enough and be professional enough to step into the plate and do what is best for the team. We have to give our all and play for the badge,” added Majoro.
