Kaizer Chiefs coach Vladimir Vermezovic has opted to start with Chiefs off season signing Lehlohonolo Majoro in a two man attack alongside Kaizer Motaung Junior, for the Amakhosi’s first official match of the pre-season when they face English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in a Vodacom Challenge encounter this afternoon.



Fans filed into the Peter Mokaba stadium the Amakhosi’s ‘Home away from home’ from the latter part of the morning as a carnival atmosphere awaits the Chiefs team who will be led by skipper Jimmy Tau.



Alongside Tau in defence will be the Zimbabwean duo of Thomas Sweswe and Zhaimu Jambo as well Dominic Isaacs who has recovered sufficiently from an off season knee operation to take his place in the line- up.



Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Josta Dladla and Tinashe Nengomasha competing in his ninth Vodacom Challenge tournament complete the midfield quartet.



A group of six players including goalkeepers Thela Ngobeni and Kabelo Metsimetsi as well as Siyabulela Songwiqi, Steven Ncanana and Sthembiso Ngcobo and another new signee Keegan Ritchie have various injuries and are not on the bench for the encounter with Spurs.
