Kaizer Chiefs wish Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic and all Serbians a Merry Christmas this Saturday.
Christmas, for the Serbs who are Christian Orthodox, comes two weeks later than that of Roman Catholics. Serbs do not celebrate Christmas on December 25 but on January 7, while they celebrate New Year on January 13 rather than on January 1.
This is because the Serbs follow the Julian calendar, while Roman Catholics follow the Gregorian calendar.
Vladimir Vermezovic told kaizerchiefs.com that he will spend the day with his family. “It is a day to spend time with the family at home. You are not allowed to go anywhere. The say if you go on that day you’ll forever be somewhere the whole year. It is a day children look forward to a lot as they get a lot of presents.”
