After three games in Polokwane, Kaizer Chiefs are back in Johannesburg for what is their second game at FNB Stadium this season. This time they come up against Mamelodi Sundowns, who were Amakhosi’s opponents in their previous game at the 2010 World Cup main venue on 28 September, in a sold out Betway Premiership match

The two teams are meeting in another sold out affair this evening at the colossal arena as they lock horns in a Carling Knockout Quarterfinal, with the aim of making it to next weekend’s semi-finals.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi will make four changes to the team as he welcomes back Inacio Miguel back from suspension. The defender missed the midweek game against Magesi FC after picking up his fourth yellow in the game against SuperSport United. The Angolan defender replaces Given Msimango in the starting line up, Samkelo Zwane is in for Yusuf Maart, Wandile Duba will start ahead of Mfundo Vilakazi and the last change sees Gaston Sirino come in for Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

In goal, Chiefs will have Fiacre Ntwari.

The backline, from left to right, will have Bradley Cross, Rushwin Dortley, Miguel and Reeve Frosler.

Njabulo Blom will work as the defensive midfielder, along with Zwane and Mduduzi Shabalala. On the left wing, Chiefs will have Duba and Sirino is placed on the right.

Ranga Chivaviro is the main striker.

The captain’s armband will be worn by Miguel.

The referee charged with ensuring the match goes well is Luxolo Badi. He will be assisted by Zakhele Siwela and Ramario Phiri. The fourth official is Joseph Makhubo.

The sold out Carling Cup quarterfinal match between Amakhosi and Masandawana will start at 18:00 at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. The match is live on SuperSport’s PSL Channel 202 on DStv and SABC radio stations - with regular updates of the match on X (Twitter) @KaizerChiefs.
