Team Physio, Dave Milner shared the good news on Tuesday that Eric Mathoho’s index finger operation went well on Friday.

Mathoho injured his right index finger during training in Mpumalanga. The player had to leave the camp for an operation in Johannesburg.

“He should start light running on Thursday and should be ready to join the team for full training on Tuesday next week. He will miss the Gauteng Cup on Sunday,” Milner, said.

Meanwhile defender, Morgan Gould, showed no signs of discomfort as he joined his teammates for training at Club’s HQ in Naturena on Tuesday. The Glamour Boys are back at Village to continue with their preparations for the upcoming season.

The players who were training at a high intensity seemed to enjoy themselves working under the watchful eye of Stuart Baxter and his assistant, Doc Khumalo.

Club’s Sports Senior Scientist, Joshua Smith added that; “the players are on track in terms of their physical conditioning and we will continue to monitor their progress based on our periodised training model”
