Thabo who was playing in his 354 game for Chiefs will learn sometime on Tuesday afternoon exactly how much time he needs to recover.
Mooki will go to the Rosebank Clinic in Johannesburg at around lunchtime on Tuesday for the scan, the initial thoughts amongst the Chiefs medical team is that it should take him around about a month to recover and be back in full training.
Thabo, who watched his teammates training on Monday afternoon from the stands at Chiefs base in Naturena South of Johannesburg, is adamant that he will be able to fight the injury and will emerge stronger from the injury. As Thabo added “it is frustrating for me to have picked up an injury so early in the season, hopefully this will be the last of my troubles for the coming season and I will work hard to get back to full strength as soon as possible”.
In the meantime Shaun Bartlett who was left out of Saturday’s game against Arrows as he too is nursing an injury, began getting back into the groove with some light training on Monday afternoon, he is expected to be at full training some time later in the week.
