Knowledge Musona announced his return to Kaizer Chiefs with a well taken goal in the second half of the Gauteng Football Cup Final. The Glamour Boys sent the Bloemfontein side packing, by ending the game at 4-1.
The ‘Smiling Assassin’ could have easily grabbed a hat-trick on the day, after he came agonisingly close to scoring twice before scoring in this well taken goal.
“It felt good to finally run into the pitch and the reception from the fans was awesome,” said the soft spoken Musona speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after the proceedings.
“I felt that we played well but let’s admit that it is still early and we have a lot of work to do before the start of the season. It is always good to win and I was pleased to contribute to the win.
I am going back to training to work on my sharpness. I am happy with the role the coach has given me in the team.”
The Zimbabwean hitman was substituted midway in the second half; “It is nothing serious. I started cramping but I should be fine for our next assignment,” concluded Musona.
