Kingston Nkhatha revealed that life in Naturena has been good and that is one of the reasons he has been enjoying his game.
There were some doubting Thomasses when the Club announced the signing of former Black Leopards striker and handing him the no. 8 jersey previously worn by his countryman, Tinashe Nengomasha.
The Zimbabwean born striker has been a hit with the fans scoring two in five league games. Besides scoring the striker who has earned himself a nickname ‘Cijimpi’ from kaizerchiefs.com has kept the opposition defenders and goalkeepers busy with his runs and ability to shoot at goals.
He was unlucky not to register his name on the scoresheet against Wits after failing to connect a wonderful pass from midfielder, Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
“Life in Naturena has been good. It is even better when you are winning games. I would like to take this opportunity once more to thank my teammates and everyone for their support since my arrival here,” said Nkhatha.
“I am fortunate to be working under such a wonderful Technical Team. At Chiefs we are all united behind one objective to Reclaim The Glory. We go to the field to fight for the badge, for the fans and for those who brought success to the Club.
Nkhatha added that he has enjoyed partnership with Bernard Parker; “He is top class having played in Europe and Bafana Bafana and he has helped me settle quickly at the Club.
“We all support one another as we all put the team first before personal glory. The spirit in the team has been key to the start that we have had this season. It is our intention to take it one game at a time. We have another important game this weekend against Chippa United. They can never be underestimated and we will need to be at our best to beat them,” added Nkhatha.
Meanwhile tickets for the Kaizer Chiefs against Chippa United at Soccer City Complex are already on sale at Shoprite/Checkers and Computicket nationwide selling for R40 for adults.
Kickoff for the game is at 20:15.
