Siyabonga Nkosi told kaizerchiefs.com on Monday that he has a long way to go before hitting top form.
The Newcastle-born was again outstanding in the middle park against Platinum Stars where he also received a pat on the back from opposition coach.
"I am happy to get back to the team after losing game time. I do feel though I can do better and contribute more to the team.
"Competition for places in the team is fierce something that comes with being a Kaizer Chiefs player.
"I continued to work hard hoping to grab my chance when I am called to do the duty for team.
Speaking about the game Nkosi said they were disappointed not to bag three points against Stars.
"We had a couple of chances to kill the game in the first half but at the end of the day maybe a draw was a fair result.
"We were up against a team that has done well this season and surprised lot of teams with their brand of football. Ours is to focus on our next assignment now," added Nkosi.
