"They requested information in Nauseb," said a Chiefs official. "And they also said they would like to look at the player so he would be going there for two weeks or so."
The hard-working Namibian international was apparently placed on transfer after falling out of favour with Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral.
The player was also expelled from a Namibian national training camp prior to their Nations Cup qualifier match against Nigeria last month following an argument with his coach Ted Dumitru.
Dumitru later served his shock resignation two weeks ago claiming that the Namibian FA's refusal to support his ban of Nauseb from national duty was the cherry on the cake since they failed to support him on several other important issues.
The Romanian coach has since returned to Sundowns as head coach.
Nauseb, who was born in Otjiwarongo, Namibia, made his Chiefs debut in August 1998 against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Free State Stadium and had since established himself as a household name in South African football.
Former Chiefs great, the legend Pule "Ace" Ntsoelengoe described Baggio as a natural fighter before his signing in 1998.
"The boy interested Chiefs right from Namibia's opening match in the 1998 African Nations Cup finals in Burkina Faso. He is a quality player with exceptional attacking skills and sound defensive ability," said Ntsoelengoe at the time.
"Even more, he is a natural fighter. And you have to be a fighter if you want to survive at Chiefs. I think his versatility will help him a lot. But, of course there is still some polishing to do before he can command a regular place in the team. There are a lot of quality players and competition is always tough to break into the first team."
At the time Nauseb was the third Namibian to sign for Amakhosi after Herman 'Pele' Blaschke and Pius 'Garrincha' Eigowab. Blaschke,a right-wing and striker Eigowab, played for Chiefs during the 1970s.
Both players set high standards and made a good impression about Namibians. Blaschke and Eigowab went on to play for South American side Atlanta Chiefs alongside Amakhosi managing director Kaizer "Chincha" Motaung.
Nauseb scored four goals for Amakhosi last season with some brilliant goals coming from the free kick spot but it is his ill discipline, which saw him leave Naturena.
