Bernard Parker insisted that he was not disillusioned having missed out to the Lesley Manyathela award to Moroka Swallows striker, Katlego Mashego.



‘Hond’ led the goalscoring charts for better part of the season scoring 12 goals and one goal short of Katlego Mashego.



“I came to Kaizer Chiefs to win trophies and they do not come better than winning the league championship. I grew up supporting the Club and to win the championship is incredible for me.



“I always put the team first and again credit to everyone in the team for such an achievement. We all worked hard for this and now we need to make sure that we continue reclaiming more glory.



Going back the Lesley Manyathela Award, Parker congratulated Katlego Mashego; “I congratulate Katlego (Mashego) for winning the award.



Meanwhile Parker and his teammates will turn their focus to the Nedbank Cup this coming weekend; “It is important to close the season on a high after not getting the results we wanted in the past couple of games.



“SuperSport United showed the other day that they can be dangerous and we will need to be at our best to take the trophy to Naturena.
