Nothing serious – Khune

“Itumeleng Khune had an X-ray and no problem was found,” reports the Kaizer Chiefs Medical Team. The goalkeeper was stretchered off-the-pitch after he collided with teammate Morgan Gould in Amakhosi’s 4-0 win over Edu Sports last Saturday.

“He just has a bruise which will take a day or so to settle, but it’s nothing serious,” continues the report.

Khune confirmed: “I am feeling a slight pain, but I should be fine in no time.”

Meanwhile, the Medical Team reports: “Tsepo Masilela will be back in training on Tuesday.”

Masilela was withdrawn during the warm-up prior because of a slight injury before the Absa Premiership match against SuperSport United last week.

Amakhosi will travel to Botswana for the second leg of the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League this Saturday. The match is taking place at the National Stadium in Gaborone on Saturday (kick-off at 15:00). Chiefs won 2-1 at home.
