Kaizerchiefs.com took time to speak to Man of the Moment Josta Dladla who has been in scintillating form this season. His goal on Saturday took the Glamour Boys to the MTN8 final against rivals, Orlando Pirates.

Kaizerchiefs.com: There is no game this coming weekend owing to FIFA Week, are you worried that you going to lose your scoring touch and most importantly the team is going to lose the momentum?

Josta Dladla: (Laughing) I never thought I was going to score in almost every game this season so I do not go to games thinking about scoring or myself. That would be selfish of me. The most important thing for me is for the team to win games. I go there to enjoy myself and play to win for the team.

Kaizerchiefs.com: What are you doing differently on your game this season?

Josta Dladla: Scoring goals! (Laughing)

Kaizerchiefs.com: Have you changed your approach?

Josta Dladla: I think I am just at a right place at a right time. The supply from my teammates has been great. The guys like Shabba (Siphiwe Tshabalala) and others have been delivering good balls in the box as it happened on Saturday when I received that well taken cross.

Kaizerchiefs.com: The goal you scored took the Glamour Boys to the final. The last time you played in the MTN8 final you left with a silver medal…

Josta Dladla: I have vivid memories of the MTN8 final while at Sundowns against Chiefs back in September 2008. The game was sold out weeks before the final. We were all over Chiefs on the night but we still lost the game. These things happen in football.

I am delighted that we are through to the final and we are facing Orlando Pirates. We are not favourites. Pirates are favourites going to this final! (Laughing). They are the defending champions and they have been doing well beating us twice during preseason.

There is obviously pride here…the two biggest teams in the country and both will be fighting for bragging rights. I think the team that creates more chances will take the cup home.

Kaizerchiefs.com: Chiefs is also going to the final on top of the Absa Premiership table. What is your take on that?

Josta Dladla: We had a slow start during the preseason losing twice against Orlando Pirates. People wrote us off. We had also lost the services of Knowledge Musona and Valery Nahayo both our key players last season so people did not expect much from us.

Maybe we needed that as players. We were focusing on having a good start and we are all glad we have achieved that. It is still early for me to say we are going to win the league. The most important thing is that we have points on the bag. In the past couple of seasons we have not had such a good start and people would say…it is still early and we have seen how this has cost us the championship at the end. We are going to continue taking it one game at a time. We are now focusing on our preparations for the final after that we have Ajax Cape Town.

Kaizerchiefs.com: You also wanted to clarify the issues around Facebook…

Josta Dladla: I am told there is someone who has been using my name on Facebook. I am not on Facebook and have never registered a profile there. The comments that have been posted there are damaging to a reputation that I have worked hard to build. I am aware that the Club has a Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.

Opportunities through these platforms are created by the Club for us to interact with fans so I will be able to speak to the fans when my turn comes. For now I invite all the Kaizer Chiefs faithful to follow us on those platforms including the website and KCTV.

Kaizerchiefs.com: JD, thanks for your time.

Josta Dladla: Thanks.
