Amakhosi Amahle!
HehhhhhhhhHE!!!!! HehhhhhhhhhhhhHE!!! It is Operation Vat Alles CONTINUA!
THE MANDELA CUP!!
Today, Amakhosi ARE the Mandela Cup Champions, the Coca Cola Cup champions, the BP Top 8 Champions and the Vodacom Challenge Champions, all in 5 months!!!
Thanks for your undying support and for creating an electrifying atmosphere.
Back to the Mandela Cup, we are proud to have won it for you, the supporters, the country and the former President, Tata Madiba. We have gone through difficult times however with the Mandela Cup and have enjoyed little assistance and co-operation from Safa, in particular.
Most importantly what makes things difficult for us is the fact that there is n o prize money in this competition, instead we have suffered costs to about R1,5 million, in traveling and accommodation.
This could mean that if something is not done for putting in cash injections in the tournament, if CAF do not find a sponsor for the tournament, we will not defend our trophy.
That would be sad, but what can we do. Football is business, but I must stress the fact that come February we will take part in the Super Cup competition, playing the winner of the CAF Club Champions League, either, Sundowns or Al Ahly of Egypt for a whooping $1million.
THE LEAGUE FIXTURES</b
Operation Vat Alles continues, this week, on Wednesday, 5th December 2001, we play Supersport FC at Ellis Park stadium. We need the three points at stake there, and the coach, together with players know that it is vital that we sustain the rhythm of winning so that we continue to collect all the points in the games that remain now.
We ask you to come in your big numbers again, in fact until we close for Christmas, hard work by players and hard work by supporters will give us a beautiful Christmas break.
Let me just give you a summary of the games pending between now and the Christmas break:
I hope this schedule will help you as you plan for your holidays and for January 2002 we have a tight looking fixture again:
