“If we were playing at Peter Mokaba Stadium every week I would be a top goalscorer right now,” midfielder, Lucky Baloyi jokingly said speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after the game against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday.
Lucky Baloyi a Polokwane born has scored three league goals this season and all of them at Peter Mokaba Stadium; “I feel extra motivated playing in front of my home fans, my mother and all the people of Polokwane.
“I try and give my best in each and every game regardless of where we play but I have to say that Peter Mokaba is my favourite stadium in the country.
“The pitch is among the best and the crowd always come in numbers to support the team. I am sure if I was playing here week in week out I would be a top goalscorer,” he added with a smile.
Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after the game ‘Sheriff’ was still disappointed that he could not finish when he missed with only a goalkeeper to beat; “I am very disappointed that I did not score with only a keeper to beat. I am going to continue to work hard and try to improve my technique.
“I always go back to training and try fixing my mistakes and it will not be different this time around. I want to improve in each and every game that I play in and hopefully we will put a better performance when we come back here next week to face Black Leopards in the Nedbank Cup,” added Lucky Baloyi.
Lucky has scored a total of four goals this season including a cracker when Chiefs beat Cape Town All Stars in the last 32 of Nedbank Cup.
