1. The Strike Force
You can rest now because Mr. Serge Pacome Djiehoua pronounced (Jewha) is in the house! He is twenty-three (23), hefty and packs mean shots in both legs.
He is from Stella Club Dádjame, a premiership outfit in Ivory Coast. The former under-20 and member of the Olympic Team boasts a tally of 26 goals that placed him second in the previous league season.
He is also a national team member who participated in two successive Caf Cup competitions. The feisty resident of Abidjan doesn’t say much but prefers to bang in those much-needed goals. Louis Agyemang is definitely a done deal! His combination with Chalwe and Serge is something to watch this season.
2. Our Casualities
David Obua has started training, and so is the Ninja Iskhokho. Mr Baron is recovering well after a shoulder scare. Siphiwe Mkhonza will resume training on Monday.
Mangethe Zwane is rested whilst Kubheka is sweating with the rest of the guys. Our reliable medico Dr. Phil and Dave the Physio are monitoring their progress.
3. Congratulations
Halala to Rowen, Derrick, Rene and Bevan for being called into the national team! I am sure they will represent us well.
Otherwise it is business as usual. Our game against Ajax has been postponed to the 24th August 2005. The PSL recognizes the 17th August as the Fifa International day of friendlies and some of our players may likely accompany Bafana Bafana to Iceland.
