The Kaizer Chiefs right back was at his best going forward creating lots of problems for the first division outfit, Polokwane City and he was solid at the back as well.

“I am grateful that I am part of this group of players and it is my intention to do well every time I don the gold and black,” said Pa Gaxa addressing the press conference at Moses Mabhida after the proceedings.

Gaxa who was voted as ‘Man of the Match’ refused to take credit for his solid display; “It is about the man seated next to me (Stuart Baxter). I am playing for the Coach and the fans on the stands that drive from every corner of the country to support us.

“Credit should go to my teammates for the job well done today. Polokwane City did come here to play and made things quite difficult for us. We are pleased to progress to the next round of the competition.

Gaxa added that he will continue to give his best for the team; “I will continue working hard for the team. We have set very clear objectives as the team this season. I am disappointed I am not in the national team but for me the focus now is on doing well and to make a contribution at Chiefs,”
