Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven thrashed the Los Angeles Galaxy 4-1 on Sunday to reach the final of the Peace Cup pre-season tournament in South Korea.

PSV manager Guus Hiddink, who became a national hero in South Korea after leading the co-hosts to the semi-finals of the 2002 World Cup, will be assured of overwhelming local support when his team face Olympique Lyon in Seoul on Tuesday.

The French title holders beat K-League champions Seongnam Ilhwa 1-0 on Saturday to finish top of Group A in the eight-team tournament.

South Korea playmaker Park Ji-sung set PSV on their way in Suwon with a fourth-minute strike while Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, John de Jong and Mark van Bommel also got on the scoresheet in a one-sided Group B contest.

PSV won two and lost one of their three matches in the inaugural competition which is being backed by the Reverend Moon Sun-myung.

Nacional of Uruguay squandered their opportunity to reach the final when they were beaten 1-0 by 1860 Munich in Ulsan.

The winners on Tuesday will receive a first prize of $2 million.
