“The fact that Jabu was seen at Naturena does not mean he is back,” said Mafani. “You can go and ask the coach, team manager or the club chairman and they will tell you that Jabu is not back because he has not met them officially.”
Kick-Off Online ran a story quoting Mafani saying “Jabu is back” but the Amakhosi communications manager refuted this claim. “Protocol dictates that after such a lengthy period of absence, the player must see his employers and seek information about his pending disciplinary case,” said Mafani.
“I would like to urge Jabu to make efforts and try to see his employers so that the matter can be dealt with expeditiously,” said Mafani.
Mafani also hit back at a certain Dr Khumalo ka Sibeko who claimed during a radio interview that Pule had undergone a tooth operation. Mafani said this doctor had put his profession to shame. “Actually it is an insult for him to suggest that Chiefs would not have the necessary medial expertise to deal with whatever problem that Jabu had,” said Mafani.
