Shabba who has fully recovered from the hip injury he sustained while on national duty early October returns to action this weekend after missing the past four games.
The Glamour Boys welcome Free State Stars in the quarter final of Telkom Cup at Rand Stadium on Saturday, 06 November 2010. Kick off for the game is at 15:00.
“I am happy to be back after missing in action for the past couple of weeks,” said the visibly relieved Tshabalala. Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday where Kaizer Chiefs was hosting a Media Open Day.
“It is a myth that Chiefs is dependent on one player. We play as a team and you saw on Sunday we even played most of the second half with one man down and still went on to win the game. I am just delighted to be back and hopefully I will get to contribute to the team. It is our aim to defend the Telkom Knockout and we all know that Free State Stars will come out fighting,” he said.
The Soweto born also revealed to kaizerchiefs.com that he has put the incident that happened at his home on Monday behind him and is fully focused on the game on Saturday.
“My Manager (Jazzman Ramahlakane) had sent someone to my house to collect my portraits. As the gentleman was coming through the rolling door heavily armed man came in pointing guns at us. I was with my two cousins and my friend Clement (Musadi) when this happened,” he said.
When they realized that it was my house - they left only taking phones and wallets. My cousins Thato (Zwane) and Ntokozo (Tshabalala) who are both busy with exams were traumatized by the experience and they are now undergoing counseling,” added Shabba.
