Kaizer Chiefs have been inundated with calls from supporters questioning the apparent 'unfair' decision by the PSL Cup Committee to schedule the last 16 clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits on 19 October 2012, kick off 20:15 at the Bidvest Wits Stadium.

The Club wrote the letter of notice to the effect that Kaizer Chiefs have contributed six players to the National Team in their friendly games against Poland and Kenya. The PSL rejected the request and maintained to apply the Fifa rules cut and paste without considering the compelling facts at hand.

Kaizer Chiefs is well aware of the Fifa rule in terms of release and return of players from the national team but in terms of cooperation between the PSL and SAFA, the Club thought sanity will prevail owing to the distance that the players will have travelled in between the two International friendlies.
